Never start a sentence with "I mean"!

This has become a scientific meme - one might say: "what I mean to say is ..." but until there is context provided there is nothing to "mean" about.


"Um" is fine whilst you are getting your thoughts together but you can't mean anything about something you haven't already explained.


This has become a global English Meme that needs to stop.
