Artificial Intelligence is not Artificial

All the current arguments, political attention, media attention on AI is all utterly false.

I was the first person in Australia to have a data centre in Australia at the age of only 28 and data centres are not related to the computers within them.

Data centres are essentially real estate companies. They provide per square meter spaces which is cooled, fire suppression and a cage for the client and provide telco connections to any provider the client chooses.

To start a Data Centre in the regional areas that have pure cold water under the Artesian Basin and are powered by solar panel with battery back up and connections via both Microwave and underground fibre would mean they do not need to be built in cities.

But back to AI (which again has nothing to do with Data Centres) AI is just an evolution of man made algorithms.

All AI is a a combination of searches which used to be the basic work of the likes of Google which accumulate data already on the internet from the likes of Wikipedia and cleverly put the information found into responses but there is nothing 'artificial' about it.

Today's speech from the Prime Minister only demonstrated that He has no idea about how these technologies work let alone data centres are required to power the internet and otherwise nothing to do with AI which doesn't exist.

There are massive opportunities for Australia to build net zero amazing Data Centres in the right regional areas and create massive jobs but one has to understand the difference between the so called AI and Data Centres which clearly the Prime Minister does not.

Finally, with regard to copyright - this is an issue that has occurred for hundreds if not thousands of years. Anyone can buy fake artworks from the likes of Temu knowing they're not real. Books, paintings, news stories etc. will always be copied and there is absolutely nothing the original publisher can do about it. It's just the way it is and if anyone publishes their works online should use watermarking technologies rather than just whinging about companies copying their work.
